Along with children's piping, drumming and dancing competitions, there's still plenty of fun and activities for the kids and little ones at the  2019 Games.

Kids Archery

Try out your archery skills with the Cabella's archery game.  Lots of fun for boys and girls and a great challenge.  Register in the Children's Area on Games day.

Kids Scottish Heavy Events

Let your little ones try their hand at the Scottish Heavy Events.  We'll have organizers on-hand with kid-appropriate equipment that will allow them to try one of the toughest sports out there. For boys and girls of all ages.  We'll have caber tossing, hammer throwing and more.  All with modified equipment to make it challenging but fun.

"Men in Kilts" Haggis Hunt

Grab a souvenir program and prowl the field searching for the elusive haggis. These little fella's are great at hiding among the vendor stalls.  If you spot one, you get a stamp in your book. Fill the page, and you're entered for an amazing prize from Men In Kilts, the sponsor of the Children's Area.

Face Painting, Swing rides, Coquitlam Library, Scotland trivia, Haggis tossing

Along with the Haggis Hunt, the children's area will have face painting, swing rides, fun activities from the Coquitlam Library, a trivia contest about Scotland and after hunting the haggis, why not toss them around.  Or wander the Games.  There's plenty of room in Lafarge Lake Park for kids to run, roam and explore. Fun for the kids. Fun for the parents.

Haggis Hunt

It's a big new park, and the elusive haggis could be found anywhere. Take your souvenir program and seek out the little furry rascals at the many vendor and artisan booths at the Games. Once you get all the stamps, bring to the children's area and be entered into a draw for an amazing prize, delivered to your home by the great folks at Men in Kilts.

The Haggis Hunt is a unique games only available at the BC Highland Games, and created specifically for kids who like a great challenge.

Along with the rides and Games, kids can roam the park and explore Piper's Glen, the lake or participate in activities on The Meadow throughout the day.
